How to Tell the Gender of a Bird

Until recently I never fully understood how to tell the difference between male and female birds. I always thought it had to be determined surgically.

Now that I have discovered the secret to telling which is which, I thought I would share it with you.

Below is a link to a picture of two seagulls. Study them closely… See if you can spot which of the two is the female. You will be amazed at how easy it is to distinguish between the two sexes. It can be done. Even by one with limited bird watching skills.

    I think that the one that is yelling is the boy and the one that is just standing there is the girl!!!!

    I agree 100% with Amanda. After all, women have the patience of Jude and can listen to men gripe all day long. Men, on the other hand, get frustrated and leave immediately. So, since the one is still standing there, it must be the female.

    The yelling one is the girl coz’ that’s what they always do.

    This is reflected in the no. of girl’s reply when you compare with the replies from guys. I am the only guy who cared to even reply, all the guys know the answer and didn’t even care to reply. :)
